An Overview of ASIS International Certification
Eduardo Jany has served as executive officer for Security Operations and regional security director at Bloomberg, LP, in New York City for nearly four years. When he is not directing and managing security operations at the Fortune 100 firm, Eduardo Jany engages with professional organizations, such as the Overseas Security Advisory Council and the Association for Industrial Security International.
Jany's Team has recently earned a Department of Homeland Security SAFETY Act designation and was the recipient of the 2017 ASIS-Outstanding Security Performance (OSPA) Award as Best Internal Security Organization. They are also a finalist for this year's OSPA Award for Best Training Initiative and are active in ASIS. Over the course of nearly 65 years, the Association for Industrial Security (ASIS) International has developed into the world’s most comprehensive organization dedicated to the interests of security management professionals. ASIS International provides members with access to a certification program that has been recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the American Council on Education (ACE), and the United States Department of Homeland Security Safety Act.
ASIS International certification is awarded in recognition of security management expertise at the professional level and is an excellent way to demonstrate competency to peers and industry operators around the world. The benefits of ASIS certification range from a competitive advantage in the industrial security marketplace to broadening one’s professional skill set, including insight into law enforcement and military training tactics.
